Personal Info
I have been a PGA Golf Instructor in the Sacramento area for over 30 years. Working at both private and public golf courses, I have instructed men, women, and junior golfers of all levels in full-swing fundamentals, chipping, pitching, and putting. I have conducted many group lessons and clinics, as well as individual lessons.
My teaching philosophy is to enhance each students’ natural abilities. I try to improve the student’s results, rather than simply changing a student’s swing so it looks better. I believe that everyone can improve their ball-striking ability and scoring, no matter if you are a junior, a senior, a beginner or an advanced player.
I have the capability to use video during my lessons. For many students, video helps to illustrate what is actually happening in their own swing.
Experience
I began playing golf at age 10, then played in high school and college before turning professional. As a PGA professional, I have competed in tounament golf for 30 years and continue to do so today. I have earned placement on multiple NCPGA Cup Teams throughout my career.
During my teaching career, I have taught many fine junior golfers and I was the coordinator for the Little Linker junior program at Bing Maloney golf course in Sacramento. Today, I am the Womens Golf Coach for Kennedy High School which includes two of my own daughters on the team.
